Pizza! Pizza!

FINALLY! I found the best pizza dough recipe ever!  It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and just plain yummy! Try it and I bet you will like it too.


Bread Machine Pizza Dough:

1 1/3 C water
2 T extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp honey
1 1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 C all purpose flour (you could try half wheat flour or all wheat flour)
2 T cornmeal
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp yeast

Place ingredients in order in well of bread machine.  Set to dough cycle.  When cycle is finished you can place in ziploc bag and refrigerate until you need it.  When needed roll out on countertop with mixture of flour and cornmeal and press into pizza pan.  Or make individual pizzas.  Let rise for 20-30 min in pan.  Place crust in 400 degree oven for 7 min.  Remove from oven, add pizza sauce and toppings.  I then brush the edges with olive oil.  Bake at 400 until crust is brown and cheese is bubbly.

When I make pizza sauce I just add about 1/2 tsp italian seasoning to 1 small can of tomato sauce. It's good!
You can use this recipe for cheese bread sticks and they are really good too.

I have no time. I should be in the tub right now having my me time. I can't survive without my me time. I've been washing bedding and catching barf all day. I have had sick kids every thursday for the past 3 weeks!  FUN! So I am a bad blogger.  What's new!  My laundry is never caught up my bed is rarely made and there always seems to be a dish in the sink.  That's life right! Allison had her 6th birthday party and got her ears pierced.  She is so beautiful and growing so fast.  Gina had her baby. She named her Shelby Ann and she is so fat and cute already! Ruby is being blessed next Sunday, Andy is getting married in March, Gracie is turning 8 and getting baptized and then Gina will be blessing her baby.  I don't have any idea how we are going to fit all of that into the first part of this year but it is all fun and exciting stuff!

Christmas.

The Holidays have been fun this year. And crazy, what with having a new little one to tote around!  I can't wait for school to start again!!! The girls are kind of driving me crazy.  And the weather has been so yucky that we can't really go anywhere.  For Christmas Eve Joe and Sherrie came up and ate dinner with us and let the girls open the gifts they had for them.  It was so peaceful and we really had a good time.  Christmas day my family came to eat dinner and stay with us for a couple of days.  Oh and I have some awesome news! Andy is getting married!!  We are so excited for Him!  He and Lisa came by Christmas day to visit and show us Her ring. Which I love!  They are so cute together and our girls love Her to pieces already.  They are getting married this spring.  I guess I better stop scarfing down Holiday treats and try to lose the baby fat.  Which seems to have expanded in the last few weeks.  I don't want to look all pudgy in the wedding photos.  Oh  and my wonderful Mom babysat while JR and I went to see Avatar!  It was so so so awesome!  I want to go again.  I got so into it that one part where there is a fight scene I actually yelled out "No! Turn around!" It took me a minute to realize I had yelled out loud but nobody seemed to have noticed.  I guess I wasn't the only one that was totally engrossed! Oh and by the way our kids woke up at 4 Christmas morning!!! Flippin 4 in the morning!!!! Can anyone beat that!

It's TIME!

Woo Hoo!  Tonight I go in to start the induction and Ruby's birthday should be tomorrow. Friday the 13th!  Is that good luck or bad?  I'll just say it is good luck because my sis Gina was born on Friday the 13th and she turned out awesome.  I am nervous and excited but mostly I can't believe I have to do this again!  Birth is not my fave thing in the world.  Some people think it is magical or spiritual and I just think it is mostly painful and gross.  Until you meet your little sweetheart and then you forget about the yucky stuff and then  eventually the bad memories fade until you end up prego again and then to the point where I am, wondering why you signed up to do this crap again!  Today as I was driving around doing some last minute errands I found myself noticing all of the women around that had kids and thinking "Wow women go through so much to bring kids into this world and then they have to raise the little buggers too!"  Yea I know boo hoo!  I love my girls and they are very precious to me and I love to see them with JR.  Sunday on Liv's real birthday she blew out her candles and I asked her what she had wished for.  She said "for my Daddy."  That's the kind of stuff that keeps me going.  I love the moments when you feel strong family unity and love.  That's what makes it all worth it.  And those are the times when I look at my awesome hubby and think "I could totally have a million of His babies!"  SCARY!  Well #5 here we go!

Dance Performance

The girls had a performance Saturday at the Craft Fair down town.  They were so cute in their little costumes and they did such a great job!  We are definitely proud parents!  I didn't know how Liv was going to react when she saw all of the people watching her, but she didn't seem to mind.  She had a big smile on her face the whole time and she remembered a lot of her dance.  Last night we played games for FHE and Olivia kept beating Gracie at connect four and JR and I were laughing so hard while watching them.  I don't even think Liv knew what she was doing but she kept beating Grace!  Well I am still pregnant and have no signs that Ruby will be arriving any time soon.  I go to the doc tomorrow so we will see what He thinks.  I can't wait to meet this little sweet heart!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had a great Halloween!  JR's parent's were coming up to see the kids so we decided to have an impromptu birthday party for Olivia. Her birthday isn't until the 8th of November but, since we don't know when Ruby is going to make Her entrance we decided it would be smart to celebrate a little early.  My Mom was on Her way home from visiting Gina in Vegas and made it just in time for cake and trick or treating. My Dad had mandatory overtime at the plant and wasn't able to come.  We miss Him a lot!  I made a pumpkin shaped cake and I guess I should have overbaked it so it would be more stiff and stay together because it had a blow out on the bottom and the top layer started slidding off!  Oh well I tried!  And it tasted really good and moist.  Gracie was the corpse bride, Allison was a vampire, and Olivia was a ladybug.  She wouldn't wear Her antennae so I just did cute pig tails.  We had a lot of fun and while we were leaving the trunk or treat we saw the Headless Horseman!  He looked so cool!  He came galloping down the road holding a lantern and then He went around the park where the trunk or treat was.  I love people that get into the Holiday spirit!  We missed trick or treating at Dave and Calie's because they were in Orangeville.  But the kids were sick and so was I so we just loaded up at the trunk or treat and went home.  Andy came down and brought His new girlfriend Lisa over to meet us and brought Liv a birthday present.  It was fun to hang out and talk with them for a while.  The girls have a dance performance this next Saturday.  Think I'll make it?!  I don't know!  It would be funny to see JR try to get them ready for it!  He's just not a hairdoin' costume kind of guy!  Well, I hope everyone had a fun Halloween!  Can't wait to see the pictures of all the cute kids!

Stuff.

I have been busy. Really. I have. I have been working on getting the quilts for Olivia and Ruby's room done. I finished the baby quilt and right now I am quilting Liv's twin size quilt. The whole thing was kind of a nightmare because there was this awesome pattern at the quilt shop that I really wanted and the ladies there told me it would be available in September. This was back in July so I said "No way can I wait until september, I'll just buy the fabric now and start on it. Well they only had half the fabric but they said it was already ordered, so I bought what they had. And I waited, and waited, and went crazy waiting for this stupid fabric that I just had to have. In the mean time I made the twin quilt for Liv. Well to make a long story short the fabric was finally discontinued and the lady that had come up with the pattern for the quilt I wanted decided she didn't want anyone else to have this particular quilt so she wasn't selling the pattern! So I had to improvise and find a different pattern and mix and match with different fabric lines to come up with something because TIME IS RUNNING OUT! So in the next few weeks I am going to try to pull the room together. Amidst all of that baby nesting junk the girls started dance classes at the first of september and they are loving it! Even Olivia! A couple of weeks ago we went to "Into the Woods" at the Scera Center in Orem to watch my Aunt Laura. She plays the witch and she was AWESOME! It was a really fun night. Gracie and Allison love school and are doing really well. Olivia goes to Joy school on Tuesdays and I know that she feels like she is such a big girl! Life is fun and hectic and I am anxious to see what this new baby girl is going to be like!
