Yes I am ALIVE!

That is the longest I have ever gone without posting something! My nesting instincts have completely taken over me. Like the need to organize every drawer and cupboard in my house. And to have every little project done that I can think of even if it has nothing to do with the baby. It has been so long that I am not even going to try to catch up. I'll just throw some more recent stuff on here and try to never again get so far behind!

We went down to JR's parents property in Salina canyon for Labor Day weekend. We went searching for some twisty wood that Aunt Pat wanted and JR took this picture of him and Liv by a gigantic drop off. I can't look at it, it makes me dizzy! She kept telling JR not to drop her.

The girls had fun painting rocks and sticks.

The Guys had fun shooting their shot guns.

Allison and Gracie got in on the action too! Kinda Scary!

Gracie first day of SECOND grade! Can you believe that 2nd grade! She loved her first day and was very excited to be back in school.

Allison had her first day of KINDERGARTEN!!! YEA! I feel old...

She was a little bit nervous but I think it was because she was so excited.

She said it was the funnest day ever! I'm so glad my kids love school!

The day before school started I took the girls to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur exhibit. It was so crowded! I guess everyone had the same idea. But the girls had a good time.

We went to East Canyon the weekend after the 4th of July. JR's brother has a time share condo up there. It was really fun! I hope we do it again next year. Maybe on a different weekend though because it was during our 9th wedding anniversary. Oh well, we spent our first anniversary in Lake Powell on a house boat with JR's family! SOOO Romantic!

All the girls wanted to do was swim in the pool!

Liv and her cousin!

Awww! So cute!

I braided all of the little girls hair! It took forever but they looked really cute when I was done and then we didn't have to do their hair the whole time we were there!

We spent a few days out on the lake boating. We had a really fun tube that all the kids seemed to love. Gracie was the only chicken that wouldn't get on it.

JR FINALLY landed a backflip on the wakeboard and guess who missed the shot?!! Oh well at least you can tell that He is upside down.

A picture of me, happy now, I hate pictures of me.

For those of you who maybe haven't spent a lot of time with Dave, He is a really SPECIAL guy. Really REALLY SPECIAL.(emphasis on SPECIAL!!!!!)

JR and Dave were gladiating on the tube. It was really funny to watch them! I don't know if you can see but poor Taylor was still in the tube and was ducking to keep from getting smashed!

Grandma's Tile Table

Grandma's Tile Table

Tile Table

When my Grandma Johnson's house was being cleaned out we came across some extra tiles from when my Grandpa had tiled her kitchen for her. She loved blue and I'm sure she was delighted when He put up these blue white and brown tiles. Her kitchen was always where family congregated, as she was an excellent cook, and we all spent countless hours there with her and Grandpa. I remember a time when I was pregnant and my Mom and I had driven up to Provo to do some shopping. We talked about going to see grandma before we drove home and I said "Wow, you know I am really craving her apple pie right now! Wouldn't that be awesome if she had baked one today." Well as luck would have it we pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven. She didn't even know we were coming to visit! She had just felt like baking a pie. I have a zillion memories of her in her kitchen and so when her house sold I knew I needed a little piece of something that would stir up good feelings every time I looked at it. Nothing could be more perfect than tiles from her kitchen. So a couple of days ago I finally dug the tiles out and made a mosaic table for my front porch. I love it, and love having a little reminder of her.
