Well I guess I better update this thing. JR has been asking me to. I always feel like I am behind with all of the things I have to do and I don't take the time to throw anything on here. Since my last post Gracie was baptized and had Her 8th birthday and I turned the big 3.0. and we took a trip to Moab. We just got called to be a ward missionary couple so we are excited for that. We kind of knew that it was going to be us because when they announced it in church that they were going to be choosing a few families to do this I had a strong confirmation we would be one of them and I turned to tell JR that, and He was all teary eyed so I just patted His leg like "yea, I know." I told Him it's because He is mister "Hi how are ya?" And I kind of knew what I was signing up for when we got married. I have never met a person that didn't like JR from the get go. Hopefully we can translate this into befriending some of the less active families and helping them find out for themselves how much JOY can come from church activity. If anything we will become more educated on Gospel matters in the process. Anyway our kiddos are getting huge and are such awesome little girls. Ruby is a little leach and is rarely far from my grasp. She sucks Her thumb and likes to blow raspberries when She should be nursing. It's hard not to laugh when you are sitting in the mothers room at church and the sound of loud raspberries being blown is coming out of your nursing cover! I think she is going to be a little goof! Gracie is so smart and is 2 grade levels ahead in reading. She even bore Her testimony the Sunday after she was baptized. Afterwards She said "Mom my heart was pounding so hard that I just had to get up. Is that the Holy Ghost?" I told Her that it was and she said "well I hope my heart doesn't pound like that next sunday because that was SCARY!" Allison is doing great in Kindergarten and is about to graduate. Olivia is as crazy and wound up as ever and is just about done with Joy school. We are about to start our garden and are trying to get our yard a little more finished. Can't wait for the freakin' summer to get here already! So anyway here are the latest pictures! Enjoy!

Grandma's Tile Table

Tile Table
When my Grandma Johnson's house was being cleaned out we came across some extra tiles from when my Grandpa had tiled her kitchen for her. She loved blue and I'm sure she was delighted when He put up these blue white and brown tiles. Her kitchen was always where family congregated, as she was an excellent cook, and we all spent countless hours there with her and Grandpa. I remember a time when I was pregnant and my Mom and I had driven up to Provo to do some shopping. We talked about going to see grandma before we drove home and I said "Wow, you know I am really craving her apple pie right now! Wouldn't that be awesome if she had baked one today." Well as luck would have it we pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven. She didn't even know we were coming to visit! She had just felt like baking a pie. I have a zillion memories of her in her kitchen and so when her house sold I knew I needed a little piece of something that would stir up good feelings every time I looked at it. Nothing could be more perfect than tiles from her kitchen. So a couple of days ago I finally dug the tiles out and made a mosaic table for my front porch. I love it, and love having a little reminder of her.
