I am finally posting something new. Not that I haven't had anything to post. I just haven't made blogging a priority! My last post was Christmas! I have to say that the best thing that has happened since then is that I got a break from this crappy frickin freezin weather! I went to Gina's a couple of weeks ago and man that 70 degrees was intoxicating. I was contemplating how I could possible "winter" in Vegas for the rest of my life. Needless to say my Mom and I were not ready to come home! And NO we did not party it up on the strip. I never even heard the jingle of a slot machine. We just hung out at Gina's cute new house and let the kids jump on the tramp and did a little shopping. Anyway, JR has a new job. He's gone for 2 weeks at a time and then He is home for a week. It's brutal! I honestly don't know how military wives do it. That would be so hard to have your husband gone for so long. But I am very grateful that He has a good job right now because I know a lot of people are struggling. On the up side, I have worked on a lot of little projects that needed done around the house. I painted my living room(just one wall),caulked around the bathtubs and sink, and I will soon be finished painting the walls and floor of my cold storage. I have a "new" old window to scrape the paint off and add pictures to and I can't stop thinking about tiling the kitchen back splash. I think I could do it! Maybe...We'll see. Anyway long story short here are some pics, because I can't stand to post without pictures. I don't know why.

We made Valentine's Mail boxes last night. It was fun! All I did for Gracie and Allie was cut their paper and tie on their ribbon. They did the rest! I'm so proud of their craftiness!

Olivia's Valentine Mail Box that we made together.

Gracie's Valentine box that she made all by herself!

Allison was really proud of her mail box. She did such a great job! I was really impressed!

While JR was home we took the girls to JUMPIN JACKS. Olivia kept wanting to go down this giant slide that touchs the roof. Liv is too little to go by herself and JR said He was too fat to take her(which isn't true!) so I had to do it. It was seriously scary! JR made fun of me. He said "what's up with that! You looked scared!" Yeah, I won't be posting that picture!

There is always a LOT of drama when 5 girls get together to play for a few days! But there wasn't as much as usual. Maybe that's a sign that they are FINALLY growing out of that! Does that ever happen with girls or does it just get worse?

Gracie and Liv cruisin in the Barbie jeep.

BOOGIES!!

Ashlyn liked Gracie's bellybutton for some reason. She kept poking her chubby little fingers in it. (I bet JR cringes when He reads that, bellybuttons are his cryptonite! You don't ever, EVER touch his bellybutton unless you want to piss him off. Which I actually think is quite fun, so I poke his bellybutton whenever I get the chance. He has a cute mad face!)

Ashlyn and Olivia. Finally NOT picking their noses!

Dress up day, doing their own makeup.

Grandma's Tile Table

Grandma's Tile Table

Tile Table

When my Grandma Johnson's house was being cleaned out we came across some extra tiles from when my Grandpa had tiled her kitchen for her. She loved blue and I'm sure she was delighted when He put up these blue white and brown tiles. Her kitchen was always where family congregated, as she was an excellent cook, and we all spent countless hours there with her and Grandpa. I remember a time when I was pregnant and my Mom and I had driven up to Provo to do some shopping. We talked about going to see grandma before we drove home and I said "Wow, you know I am really craving her apple pie right now! Wouldn't that be awesome if she had baked one today." Well as luck would have it we pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven. She didn't even know we were coming to visit! She had just felt like baking a pie. I have a zillion memories of her in her kitchen and so when her house sold I knew I needed a little piece of something that would stir up good feelings every time I looked at it. Nothing could be more perfect than tiles from her kitchen. So a couple of days ago I finally dug the tiles out and made a mosaic table for my front porch. I love it, and love having a little reminder of her.
