Swimming!

Wednesday after school my neighbor Camie and I took our kids to the Payson pool for a few hours. It was really fun and the kids had a blast! Camie's two girls have really become attached to my girls and they love doing things together! She has one little boy that Olivia insists on pushing around every chance she gets! I feel so bad that Liv is such a meanie! It's hard not to laugh though because she is so tiny but has so much spunk! Anytime another kid gets close to her she splashs them or kicks at them. An older boy splashed her in the face on accident and she got up with the meanest look on her face and tried to chase him down! What am I going to do?!!!

Back to school!!!

Today was Gracie's first day of FIRST GRADE! She was sooo embarrassed that I walked her to class and that I wanted to take her picture before she went in. But that's my job right? To embarrass my kids every chance I get! It's not like they haven't embarrassed me a hundred times in church, and at the store, well pretty much everywhere. Anyway I am having a hard time letting my sweet Gracie go to school ALL DAY! It's hard to send the sweet one off. Not that I don't love Allison and Olivia, but they are little stinkers most of the time. Gracie was nervous until she saw her cute little desk with her name on it and then she got a big grin on her face and I knew she would love it! Crap! I gotta go. I can't look at these pictures anymore. I think I might BAWL!

Haircuts!

Gracie and Allie got their hair cut yesterday. Al has always had short hair but Gracie decided she wanted her's to be short too. I wanted it to stay long but I also didn't want to argue about it forever so I let her get it cut. Both of them look really cute! Gracie looks like she is 12 instead of 6!

Boating on Utah Lake!

We went boating last night with Dave and Calie on Utah Lake. It was really fun! The water was smooth and nice up until the very last. The girls seemed to enjoy being on the boat. Although Allie was a stinker about keeping her life jacket on!

I'm in a reflective mood today. I realize summer is fast coming to a close and Gracie starts school on the 20th. The lazy days of summer will be gone and will be replaced by cold windy wintery days. Ick! So today I have been looking through summer pictures that I never posted and thought I would make a quick slide show for everyone! ENJOY what's left of summer!!!

Gina's Girls!!!

Gina drove up from Vegas last Thursday with her two little girls. I drove down to Huntington and we spent the weekend hanging out at my Parent's. It was fun to have all the girls together!(And a little CRAZY!). Gina's kids are such cuties! I wished that they lived closer to us so our kids could play together more often. Ashlyn and Olivia kind of butt heads! They kept telling each other NO! and hitting or pushing each other. I think Livie started it because she has always been very aggressive. I'm sure they will be good friends later!

Grandma's Tile Table

Grandma's Tile Table

Tile Table

When my Grandma Johnson's house was being cleaned out we came across some extra tiles from when my Grandpa had tiled her kitchen for her. She loved blue and I'm sure she was delighted when He put up these blue white and brown tiles. Her kitchen was always where family congregated, as she was an excellent cook, and we all spent countless hours there with her and Grandpa. I remember a time when I was pregnant and my Mom and I had driven up to Provo to do some shopping. We talked about going to see grandma before we drove home and I said "Wow, you know I am really craving her apple pie right now! Wouldn't that be awesome if she had baked one today." Well as luck would have it we pulled up just as it was coming out of the oven. She didn't even know we were coming to visit! She had just felt like baking a pie. I have a zillion memories of her in her kitchen and so when her house sold I knew I needed a little piece of something that would stir up good feelings every time I looked at it. Nothing could be more perfect than tiles from her kitchen. So a couple of days ago I finally dug the tiles out and made a mosaic table for my front porch. I love it, and love having a little reminder of her.
